My candidacy for Ms. NCCU Alumni 2022 is truly a full-circle moment. Early in life, I knew I wanted to attend a Historically Black College. Movies like School Daze and television shows like a Different World, really opened my eyes to the HBCU experience. Like most people, my college dreams came with costly financial implications. Thankfully, the North Carolina Central University Alumni Association saw fit to grant me a full four-year academic scholarship.
