Known as the “Signature” event of the Metro DC Chapter, the Annual Scholarship Gala brings NCCU Eagles and friends of NCCU together in an atmosphere that is elegant, electrifying, and purposeful. Come join us for a night filled with dining, conversations, dancing, pictures, networking, and fundraising! At past galas, supporters come from near and far and we anticipate another year of entertaining our supporters again. We thank them for their continued support and belief in our vision to support students. The Metro DC Chapter is committed to do all it can to raise monies toward scholarships for students from the Metro DC area who choose to or currently attend North Carolina Central University. The Metro DC Chapter’s own Monica Perry is Ms. NCCU Alumni 2019-2020!  Monica is the Immediate Former President for the Metro DC Chapter and in July 2019 she received the prestigious NCCU Alumnus of Year Award. She is also a Silver Eagle (Class of 1993). Monica’s campaign raised over $21,000 for scholarships via social media fundraisers, raffle tickets and other fundraisers. On October 17, 2019, Metro DC Chapter Recruitment Team Members (Tania Davis, Henry Stancil and Tracey Marbury) represented NCCU at college fairs in the DC Metropolitan Area.   Tania and Tracey supported the 5th Annual HBCU Showcase at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, VA. Mr. Henry Stancil represented NCCU at the School Without Walls High School College Fair in Northwest DC.
